BNP to brief on current situation this afternoon

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold a press conference at 4:00 pm on Tuesday at the party’s Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka, to discuss the ongoing political situation.

Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP’s media cell, confirmed the information and said the press conference has been arranged on behalf of the party’s Standing Committee.

According to party sources, a meeting of the BNP Standing Committee was held Monday night (May 26) in Gulshan. The meeting was chaired by the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, who participated virtually. Other Standing Committee members were also present.

Although no official details about the agenda were disclosed, party leaders said the discussions focused on the recent political situation, the ongoing BNP movement, the party’s organizational status, and programs related to the martyrdom anniversary of the late President Ziaur Rahman.
