EC declares Jamaat amir's nomination valid

The Election Commission (EC) has declared valid the nomination paper of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr Shafiqur Rahman for the Dhaka-15 constituency in the next general election.
Returning Officer Md Yunus Ali announced the decision after scrutinising the nomination papers on Saturday, January 3.
The nomination paper of BNP candidate Shafiqul Islam Khan Milton for the constituency was also declared valid, while the same of CPB candidate Ahammad Sajedul Haque was rejected.
