Jamaat women's rally at Suhrawardy postponed
The women's wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has postponed its January 31 women's rally at Dhaka's Suhrawardy Udyan, citing 'unavoidable reasons'.
Jamaat women's wing announced this on its Facebook page on Thursday afternoon, January 29.
Earlier on Tuesday, January 27, Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Amir Dr Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher announced that the party's women's wing will hold a women's rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on January 31 to protest harassment, attacks on women’s activities, and obstruction of them from electioneering across the country.
