Bangabhaban programmer held over Jamaat amir's X account hack

The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has detained Mohammad Sarwar Alam, an assistant programmer at Bangabhaban, in connection with hacking the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami amir's X (formerly Twitter) account.

Sarwar was taken to the DB office, and further steps will be taken after interrogation, DB chief Additional Commissioner Shafiqul Islam told Jago News around 1:30 am on Wednesday, February 4.

Earlier, the detectives conducted a drive at a government quarter east of the Rajarbag Police Lines auditorium on Tuesday midnight to detain the hacker of Jamaat amir's verified X (formerly Twitter) handle.
