Arifur Rahman Babu elected BSJA president

Prominent sports journalist and special correspondent of Jago News Arifur Rahman Babu has been elected unopposed as the president of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association, BSJA.

The 20th biennial general meeting and election of BSJA were held on Friday morning, April 18.

Chief Election Commission and BSJA’s senior member Md Shafiqul Karim Sabu announced the new executive council for the year 2025-26. 

Rayhan Al Mughni (Bangladesh Television), Barshan Kabir (NTV) and Ariful Islam Rony (bdnews24.com) have been elected as vice presidents, while SM Sumon (Baishakhi Television) has become general secretary, Arafat Jobair (Dhaka Post) joint secretary and Minhaz Uddin Khan (Dhaka Tribune) finance secretary respectively.
