71 election officials transferred ahead of nat’l polls

Ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary elections, the Election Commission (EC) has transferred 71 officials. The transfer order, issued on Sunday, was signed by Assistant Secretary of the EC Secretariat Mohammad Shahidur Rahman, by order of the President.

According to the order, the transferred officials must be released from their current postings by August 3; otherwise, they will be considered released effective August 4.

Most of the transferred officials serve as election officers at the Upazila or Thana level.

In addition, Md Mosharraf Hossain, Assistant Director at the Election Training Institute in Dhaka, has been appointed Assistant Secretary at the EC Secretariat.

Meanwhile, Syeda Sadiqa Sultana, Election Officer of Cumilla Adarsha Sadar Upazila, has been appointed Assistant Director at the Election Training Institute in Dhaka.
