Fire erupts in Gulistan market, 11 fire units respond

A fire erupted at Sundarban Square Market in Dhaka's Gulistan on Saturday morning, August 2.
The fire broke out on the fifth floor of the market around 10:00am, said Talha Bin Jashim, acting officer (media cell) at Fire Service and Civil Defence.
First, a unit of the firefighters rushed to the spot at about 10:03am to douse the blaze and later, 10 more units joined the efforts, he said.
However, the cause of the fire could not be known immediately, the official said.
