Over 100 injured in Narsingdi as quake jolts Bangladesh

More than 100 people were injured in Narsingdi as a 5.7-magnitude earthquake jolted Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh on Friday morning, November 21.
Most of them sustained injuries while rushing out of their homes, said witnesses.
The injured are receiving treatment at Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, said Farida Parvin, Resident Medical Officer of the hospital.
Two of the patients have been referred to Dhaka for advanced treatment, she added.
Meanwhile, land cracks were reported inside Ghorashal Dairy Farm and Shibpur Baroi Algi area.
Earlier, the earthquake jolted Dhaka and other parts of the country this morning.
The tremor occurred around 10:38am and lasted about a minute.
