Gun attack on Hadi: Motorcycle owner Hannan on 3-day remand

A Dhaka court has put Md Abdul Hannan, owner of the motorcycle used in the attack on Inqilab Mancha's spokesperson, Sharif Osman Hadi, on a three-day remand.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Didarul Alam passed the order on Sunday night, December 14.

Earlier, he was shown arrested under Section 54 of the Penal Code and produced before the court, seeking a seven-day remand.

Two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle opened fire at the head of Osman Hadi, an independent candidate for the Dhaka-8, on Box Culvert Road in the capital's Bijaynagar area on Friday, December 12, while travelling by rickshaw after Jumma prayers.

Analysing the CCTV footage, RAB-2 learned that the motorcycle's registration number is Dhaka-Metro-LA-54-6375 and Md Abdul Hannan was found to be its owner.
