Moderate earthquake shakes Dhaka, other parts of country

A moderate earthquake shook the capital, Dhaka, and several other parts of the country on Friday.
Assistant Meteorologist Farzana Sultana of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department told Jago News that the earthquake originated in Satkhira and measured 5.4 on the Richter scale.
However, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in its latest update reported that a 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck West Bengal, originating 26 km southeast of Taki, at a depth of 9.8 km.
