A Thai-flagged cargo ship that was hit while transiting the Strait of Hormuz two weeks ago has run aground off Iran's Qeshm Island, according to Tasnim News, a semi-official agency linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Thailand reported that 20 crew members were rescued by the Omani navy after the ship was struck on March 11, while three remain missing.

The vessel, named Mayuree Naree, was among approximately 20 commercial ships attacked off the Iranian coast, though not all were near the Strait of Hormuz.
