Fire in Motijheel building, four fire units respond

A fire erupted on the third floor of a building in the capital’s bustling Motijheel area, prompting a swift response from the Fire Service.
Four units are currently working to douse the blaze, as confirmed by Fire Service Control Room Officer Talha Bin Jasim earlier this evening.
The fire broke out in a building adjacent to Shahjalal Islami Bank, with the control room receiving the alert at 6:17pm.
“The first unit from Siddiq Bazar Fire Station arrived at 6:28 PM and immediately began firefighting efforts,” Jasim reported. Three additional units have since joined, intensifying the operation to control the inferno.
Details regarding the cause of the fire and any potential casualties remain unclear at this time, Jasim noted, as the focus remains on containing the blaze.
