Milestone tragedy: Death toll rises to 33 as another dies

Another victim of the plane crash into Milestone School and College in Dhaka's Uttara died on Friday afternoon, July 25, raising the death toll to 33.

The victim, Makin, 14, a student of Class VII of the institution, breathed his last around 1:05pm while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital.

Around 70 per cent of his body was burnt, said Shaon bin Rahman, resident doctor at the institute.

Makin was laid to rest at their ancestral home in Gazipur's Gacha area, said his father Mohammad Hossain.

On July 21, an FT-7 BGI fighter jet of Bangladesh Air Force crashed into Milestone School and College shortly after taking off from the Kurmitola airbase that claimed numerous lives, mostly children.
