SAFF winner Shopna announces sudden retirement

Bangladesh national women's football team player Sirat Jahan Shopna has announced her sudden retirement from all types of soccer.

She made the announcement in a Facebook post on Friday afternoon but did not reveal the reasons behind leaving football. 

Bangladesh won the maiden title of the SAFF Women's Championship in September last year.

Though Sirat Jahan Shopna could not play in the final match due to injury but played a vital role to help Bangladesh clinch the trophy by scoring four goals in the tournament.
